Why Do You Race?

FCA Endurance gives adult Christian runners, triathletes, & cyclists, as well as all who  engage in and support endurance athletics, the chance to tell the world why they do the things they do and why they are the people they are. Our ministry’s purpose is to unite those who are competing for Christ and equip them for ministry within the endurance community. Being part of our ministry team serves as a way for believers to recognize each other and share in a closer fellowship with one another while reaching out to those who don't yet know Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Whether you swim, bike, run, walk, ski, paddle, skate, or something else; we would love to get you united and equipped for endurance ministry!

A late Happy 4th of July to each of you! I pray that you all had a wonderful weekend of fellowship, fun, celebration, rest, and worship, praising our Father for His many blessings. As you gave thanks for our freedoms, I hope you said a prayer for those who have and are protecting our freedoms, as well as those who are missing loved ones due to their previous service in our military.

June is here, and as we approach the official start of summer, I'm going to take a small break from our current discussion regarding spiritual disciplines.  We will be returning to this topic again, and often, but this month I want to capitalize on the current season as athletes continue to gather together for training and racing.  As I've considered this, I'm going to re-load an edited version of an article I wrote back in March of 2011... Join Another Team! I begin this article by ex...

  • Endurance Disciples: Prayer

I want to briefly re-visit our ongoing discussion on the spiritual discipline of prayer.  I'll start by asking, how is your prayer life going?  Have you been able to set aside some time and pray through A.C.T.S. a few times/week?  How has the LORD answered your prayers?  We would love to hear and celebrate answered prayer and invite you to share these via our Prayer Team comments wall. This month, I wanted to pass along a few other ideas to consider as you pursue growth in yo...

  • Endurance Disciples: Praying ACTS

Our snow is gone (at least for a while)! With that, we’re celebrating warmer temps, dry roads, and the possibilities of a great upcoming season… both for our training and racing, but more so for our spiritual growth and ministry opportunities. It’s with this anticipation that I re-direct your attention back to our topic at hand… living a disciplined life where it truly matters.
