Why Do You Race?

FCA Endurance gives adult Christian runners, triathletes,  and cyclists, as well as all who support endurance athletics the chance to tell the world why they do the things they do and why they are the people they are. Our ministry’s purpose is to unite people competing for a common goal (to glorify God) and equip them for ministry within the endurance community. It serves as a way for believers to recognize each other and share in a closer fellowship with one another while reaching out to those who don't yet know Jesus as Savior and Lord.

  • God GLORIFIED through tragedy!

    On Wednesday July 07, 2010 at 1:23pm I received a text message from fellow FCA E teammate and North Metro Atlanta huddle leader David Hicks that asked for prayer. David and his wife Sharon (teammate) were on a morning ride and while descending down a hill at approximately 35mph Sharon lost control of the bike and crashed to the ground

  • Who do you race for?

    This past weekend I participated in the Tri Latta Triathlon. It was my first non-wetsuit open water swim and I was terrified. It took me a few days to realize where I needed to take my fears. The days leading up to the race I was singing “The Voice of Truth” by Casting Crowns and praying.

  • Train in the rain to race in the rain.

    A little while ago I was out on a long training run. It wasn't a particularly pretty day and I wasn't exactly looking forward to the run ahead of me. About four miles in, it started to drizzle. A mile later, it was raining.
