Clermont Training Retreat

You are invited to join a wonderful group of athletes for two and a half fun-filled days of training in beautiful Clermont, Florida!  This retreat will include small group leadership training, evangelism training, a Christian leadership discussion, a triathlon clinic, swimming, biking, running, and a lot of fellowship and fun! 

  • Camp Dates: March 24-26, 2017
  • Venue: Beautiful Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont, FL

NOTE:  This is the peak time of year for Clermont.  Thus, housing fills fast and becomes expensive quickly.  We have a great, reasonably priced venue locked-in, but housing is limited and will be claimed on a first come, first served basis.  

Retreat Housing

The 2017 Retreat will be hosted at Lake Louisa State Park.  This is a beautiful venue and will bless all attendees.  We have a number of cabins reserved, and non-commuter registration includes housing (twin bed in a shared room or queen bed in an individual room).

Retreat Schedule

The training retreat will take place March 24-26, 2017

  • Friday March 24 - all day
  • Saturday March 25 - all day
  • Sunday March 26 - until noon

A schedule is in the works.  The draft agenda includes:

  • 3 Group Workouts
  • Triathlon Clinic
  • JET Training (Jesus' Engagement Training) - 2 sessions
  • Evangelism Training - 2 sessions
  • Christian Leadership Discussion
  • Lots of fellowship and fun!

Retreat Venue

The retreat will be hosted in beautiful Clermont, Florida.  Clermont is an ideal training destination with pleasant weather, great cycling roads, a 10-mile clay running loop, and the National Training Center.  The retreat will be hosted at Lake Louisa State Park, but clinics and training will be held in venues around the area.

Clermont is 20 miles west of Orlando, FL and 40 minutes from the Orlando International Airport.

Camp Staff

Lincoln Murdoch:  AG National Champion

Lincoln is the 2012 USAT Sprint National Champion in the 55-59 age group.  In addition to being a very successful triathlete, Lincoln has a great history of serving the Lord as a pastor and church planter.  He currently serves as the Executive Director of Step Up to Life Ministries and has been involved with FCA Endurance since 2006, currently serving as the Omaha Huddle Leader.

Brandon Roush:  Camp Director

Brandon is a multiple 70.3 World Champion qualifier and a formerly certified coach with USAT and the Road Runners Club of America.  He currently serves as the coach of the Central Florida FCA Track Club and FCA Endurance Orlando Huddle Leader.

Camp, NO Housing (Commuter):  $200

Camp includes all instruction, access to staff & group workouts, National Training Center access for the group swim, other group activities, camp swag, and 5 meals (a light breakfast Friday-Sunday and Supper on Friday and Saturday).  Lunch is on your own each day.

Current active Huddle Leaders receive a $100 scholarship.
