Adding a Missionary

During this Thanksgiving season (and every day), I have so much to be thankful for, both personally and within FCA Endurance.  Among these is a God who loves and cares for me, a wonderful family, a number of caring and supportive friends, and good health.  Within the ministry, we continue to experience abundant blessings in so many forms, including growth of the ministry and new opportunities as we continue to unite and equip Christian endurance athletes to share Jesus through sport!  As we continue to move forward with God’s plan, I am excited to announce that the Lord has added to our staff to meet growing needs and opportunities!  For this I am so thankful!

Who is Joe?
Joe Dannelly is a Teammate from Greenville, SC who has been serving as a Co-Huddle Leader there for the past year.  During the past half year, he has felt a growing calling to missions, and specifically to FCA staff within FCA Endurance.  Photo right:  Joe with his new wife Ashley who is also a Teammate and volunteer for the communications team.

What will Joe do?

Joe is coming on part-time in early December as our “Ministry Coordinator.”  The main thrust of his initial role will be communications and networking.  He’ll be taking over all mass communications (web site, newsletter, online community, etc.) and much of the day-to-day communication that takes place to unite and equip our Teammates in the field.

How is Joe supported?

Like all FCA field staff (including myself), he is a domestic missionary supported by God through His people (YOU).  Adding Joe as a staff member obviously expands our budgetary needs, but we believe the Lord has called Joe for such a time as this.  As such, we are stepping out in faith, believing that the Lord will provide for those He calls.

Supporting and connecting with Joe:

We invite everyone to welcome Joe to our staff through a quick note (jdannelly@fca.org).  We also ask you to add him and his wife Ashley to your prayer list and consider making a gift to FCA Endurance to help support Joe through our ministries funding needs.

We are so excited about all that the Lord has done through 2009 and anticipate with great joy how He may move through FCA Endurance in 2010.  I pray that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that as we approach Christmas, you are able to focus each moment on the one who it’s all about.  The only one who is worthy… Jesus, our Lord and Savior!
